Our hikes are…

  • Casual

The important thing is to have fun & be safe. It’s ok to have limitations. You are welcome to walk as far as you like & bid ado to those trekking on; there is no requirement to “finish” the hike. We are a go at your own pace kinda group. We take breaks, we stop to appreciate the beautiful spaces we’re in & we make sure no one is left behind.

  • Fun

I try to make sure there is a mix of difficulty levels for each month’s hikes. From easy paved walks around the botanical gardens to rugged black diamonds on the bluffs. Sometime our hikes are as short as a mile & a half, other times they’re as long as 7-10 miles. There’s something for people at every activity level.

  • Inclusive

Our hiking club is inclusive to people of all backgrounds. All races, genders, sexual orientations, body types, physical abilities, ages & financial means. You are welcome, safe & celebrated here.

What you’ll get

  • Physical Exercise - Lower your blood pressure & sugars, strengthen your core, protect your bone density & boost your booty, brain & immune system! We’re talkin’ full body wellness, Babes!

  • Mental Health - Kick your depression, anxiety, negative mood, & fatigue right in the junk. There are significant psychological benefits to walking in the woods & I promise you will feel it working immediately!

  • Relational Health - We’re the squad you never knew you needed. Come swap adventure stories, learn about new places to explore, push yourself to new limits & enjoy support from stranger friends. Connect with your community & the land.

  • Unlimited Guidance & Support - Jumping into group activities isn’t always easy, in fact it can be downright awkward as funk & crazy uncomfortable, especially when we’ve gotten comfy with or are just used to being isolated & sedentary; or are the new kid in town; or perhaps have mobility or anxiety challenges. Samesies, Friends, I totally get it. Allow yourself & one another grace & kindness. Embrace the weirdness. Give yourself permission to shamelessly have fun in the simplest of ways, with a walk in the woods. I’m here to tell you, you CAN do it!!!

FAQs

Do I have to be female?

No. I don’t care if you have or had a dick, just don’t BE a dick. Look, “Babe” is a vibe, mmmk, it doesn’t matter what gender you identify as… you’re a Babe & you’re welcome, safe & celebrated here.

Do I have to be fat?

Nope. But if you are fat & you’ve struggled to find a group of folks you can be super comfy around while moving your big beautiful body, we’re definitely your people. Stuff that slut gut in some leggings Babe, we’re going for a walk!

Is this a weight loss / fitness group?

Hell no, absolutely not. We’re just hangin’ out. However, if improved physical health is a benefit, who can complain?! Come as you are, do what you can / want. Nobody is keeping score, it’s not a race, I’m just happy to hike with ya! I do encourage you though to push it, push it real good.

Do I have to be stoned / a stoner?

Uhhh, nope. But I mean… it’s fun & it feels good, haha. You do you, Friend. - While this is a stoner friendly club, if you are going to ya-know, please try to do so before or after the walk/hike. We still need to follow laws & trail + park rules. We need to be safe & we need to be respectful of the possible presence of community members who do not partake. It should be noted most parks do not permit smoking of any kind. Know your limits & be safe; look out for one another & for our precious land.

Can I bring my Dog?

I want everyone to bring all the doggos, haha! Please follow trail + park rules regarding your pets | leashing | waste. Note that most conservation areas do not permit pets.

Can I bring my spouse?

You can bring your spouse & all of your other partners & theirs too if that’s ya thang. Yes, the answer is yes.

Can I bring my kids?

Of course! Personally, this is my opportunity to ditch my kids at home & get some “me” / grown-up time in. Once in a while I’ll bring them {they range in age from preschool - Marines, haha}, mostly I won’t. If you bring your children just remember : folks are likely going to be enjoying their cannabis & some of these hikes are pretty intense, so bring them at your own discretion. Minor children must be supervised at all times & obviously, no cannabis for the littles.

Do the hikes cost money?

Right now, NO, & I’d really like to keep it that way!
