The Original reddit Post That Started It All
Fat Stoner Babes Hiking Club???
2022
reddit /StLouisIt all started with a reddit post.
RiverFront Times
New St. Louis Hiking Club 'Fat Stoner Babes' Welcomes the Unathletic
05/2022
RiverFront Times → (linksies are broken - apologies)
Aw mannn...The RiverFront Times was bought out shortly after publishing an article about the Fat Stoner Babes Hiking Club. They laid off the entire staff & trashed the website, ending a 46 year run of St. Louis’ alt-weekly.
That initial RFT article launched our club into the public eye & helped us become who we are today! Later that year we were voted to be St. Louis’ Best Hiking Club!
Super bummed the RFT links are broken / go to porn. I won’t be linking them here for that reason, but I wanted to still list it here.
You can find screenshots of the original article on our Facebook & Instagram pages.
