Join us for an unforgettable crystal dig adventure at Bluff View Farm Rocks in Potosi, Missouri! Rocks & minerals including druze quartz, cold water agate, mozarkite, calcite crystals in a variety of colors, geodes, galena, pyrite, barite, etc; all super plentiful here. They range in size from teeny tiny to absolutely ginormous & they are all practically just lying at your feet.

Please remember, this is a fairly untapped, private place. There are always lots of cool projects in the works on his land, new dig sites, so come be a part of the beginning! 

Everyone is expected to treat Todd's land with the utmost respect. Please remember to follow our club rules at all times. Be safe, look out for each other & have fun!

Unlike at Haunted Ridge Rocks, we will not be carted out to digging locations. We will instead get to drive to different areas on the farm ourselves & hike around. There are 3 main digging spots right now & lots of new, smaller areas being opened. Todd will guide us around some so we don't get too lost. There are no maps available but we won’t need ‘em this time anyway. ADVENTURRRE!!! — Roads are narrow & mostly natural ground, please be careful.

The land we will be walking on & digging in varies. Some of it is dry & wet creek bed, some of it is wooded & has enormous rock piles to scramble, some of it is red clay pits that are a little muddy, but that's good! It is imperative to wear comfortable hiking footwear & clothing that you don’t mind getting stained.

SAFETY WARNINGS :
- If hounding in The Mines area, stay out of the lead mine holes!!! Some may have a false bottom & you’ll be swallowed up by the earth! Stay on the mounds or outer parts of the lead mines!!!
- Be mindful of bluffs where you’re walking.
- Poison Ivy + Poison Oak in some areas!
- Snakes, Babe! Watch your step! Ticks too!
- Cell service is extremely spotty. You can occasionally get some at the top of the hills.
- Please be cautious of other people digging near you, especially if one is swinging hammers or axes, etc.
- This is a primitive location, no special services.

OH SHIT! :
There is only ONE portable bathroom on site. It is located at the creek / camping spot. Otherwise, pick a bush or a boulder, Babe.

PAYMENT :
There is no entrance or event fee. HOWEVER, it does cost $30 per 5 gallon bucket. There is no limit to how much you can collect. Everything you collect MUST GO IN THE BUCKET. If you find something spectacular that doesn't fit in your bucket, you can still claim it; Todd will help us get it sorted. Hound first, pay after based on your collections.

CASH ONLY for all purchases. Pay for your stuff, then make sure it's nice & wrapped up & stored snug as a bug in a rug in your vehicle for safe travels home! Enjoy all the pretty, magical rocks you dug up yourself! (They make great plant companions & gifts, you can make art & jewelry, endless possibility!)

REMINDER : ALL HIKES ARE WEATHER PERMITTING. {THIS INCLUDES HEAT, RAIN, CRAZY WIND, COLD & SNOW.}  Saturday in Potosi is looking like a cloudy 75 degrees. Absolutely perfect for diggin’ in the dirt!!!

DOGGOS : Since this is a functioning cattle farm & there are farm dogs roaming the land, I’m going to ask that you please keep your lovely dogs at home for this adventure. Thanks for understanding!

KIDDOS : This is a great activity to drag your kids along to! They loooove digging in the dirt & looking for nature treasures! Plus I bet we can go see the cows too if we wanted! I’ll be bringing my second grader out & we’ll have a couple other kids (& teacher friends) out there too. Ages 5+ are welcome but must be supervised by you at all times! Don’t forget to pack them lots of snacks & water / drinks.
